The collection includes mostly correspondence, part typed, part handwritten. The correspondence comprises business and personal letters from friends, family, his fianceĢe; correspondence from AGVA (American Guild of Variety Artists), which includes, among other things, membership cards, telegrams, memos from meetings; correspondence from the Society of American Magicians. Included also are business cards, tax return forms, insurance papers, bills, newspaper clippings, programs, tickets, greeting cards, programs, advertisement flyers, caricatures of Lester Lake, drawings; also, Lester Lake's ID card from serving in the United Service Organizations during World War II and materials related to his performances with USO; included also are music sheets (Sid Bryan, composer) with lyrics by Lester Lake and handwritten lyrics for songs, by Lester Lake.
